Splash Tops and Bingers in the South East.
Howdy!
This school gig can sometimes be a drag but from time to time it has it's redeeming moments and Spring Break is one of those. No way was I getting stuck in Myrtle Beach with a bunch of drunk college kids trying to get tan for Spring Break. Garrette and I decided to head up to Linville for four days in the high country to kick off the Spring Break. Friday rolled around and I started chomping at the bit to get the fuck out of Asheville. So I skipped out on classes and ran over to plasma joint so I could donate a bottle of Whiskey worth of Plasma. We were treated to lows in 50's and plenty of cool fresh mountain air on top of the Chimneys.
The hike went something like this for those familiar with the Linville area. Walked in at the Pitch In trail then up to Babel Tower the next day. Woke up at Babel Tower and crossed the river, hiked up Spence Ridge to Little Table Rock up and over the Chimneys across Table Rock Gap and down Shortoff Mountain so we could sleep next to the river. Woke up crossed the river and took the Mountains to Sea trail back to 105 and hoofed it back to the Car.
It only seemed right to head over to the Noli after Linville, had to keep it safe on the river and timed the day light just right to take out at dark.
Instead of going down to Long Creek for the Saturday Sunday Tallulah release I figured I would just stay local and help clean up the Narrows. Fifteen or Twenty heads gathered at Fish Top Saturday morning to clean up Mama Green. I think it took us like five hours to run the Narrows that day, I was stoked to get some solid Gorge time it was an amazing day on the Green. I took my Fish Eye lens along to capture the essence.
Check out Shane getting some serious shelf time in his garbage filled XP10

I think it's fair to say I impressed myself with how well spring break went, it was pure bliss. Makes me look forward returning to the more illustrious living styles. Only a couple more weeks till I put my life in the van and drive west, be on the look out for some some Scumbags at the Lochsa to kick off the summer.
