teamscum x green river access fund

neckTag

We were stoked to work together with the good people over at Green River Adventures to come up with this fun design for the 2012 Green River Access Fund TShirt. Did we mention this shirt was handprinted in WNC using non-toxic, waterbased ink. Contact Green River Adventures for info on how to get one, something about a key or something, I dunno ->

Also, we've got a $100 teamscum.com shopping spree for the first person to submit a photo of Woody wearing this shirt - > Good luck with that!

west fork pigeon + panthertown in a day

panthertown The plan was to head over to the west fork of the pigeon, if it was too high or too low our bail out would be the upper East Fork of the Tuck, otherwise known as "Panthertown". We caught ideal flows on the WF Pigeon and made quick time down to the car at sun burst, seemed like a no brainer to drive straight to rock bridge and set shuttle so we could run the Tuck.  We walked our boats down to the bridge at School House Creek and in no time we were sitting above Upper Wardens Falls. I would be running this one first so i could snap a few pictures of Mark and Ed on their way down, even though i had run this rapid a month or so earlier and i knew where to go i was still a bit nervous! panthertown I jumped out and took a look at where i needed to go, spotted my line and peeled back into the current. Everybody had smooth lines and mark and ed even hiked up on the second slide and ran it twice while i took pictures. Watch out for wood if you have the itch for panthertown, i think we portaged six times due to logs and such. Turned out to be a hell of a day of kayaking! Enjoy a couple pictures from the day. - arlyn

teamscum // live+direct

Last week the good people at Southern Appalachian Brewery and Rapid Transit Video graciously allowed us to test out a little project we have been picking at on an unsuspecting crowd at Adventure Movie Night.

teamscum // live+direct

With over 130 people gathered to watch films and everyone hoping to win a Liquid Logic Kayak it was the perfect, beer lubricated crowd. Basically it works like this // there were 3 bright plaid colors and 3 dark, overprint colors each with a different phrase. Now think back to kindergarten, 'yellow and blue make green, right?" So, from a total of 6 screens, each person selected a bright and dark color, for a total of 9 possible colorways and an infinite number of print location options. If this doesnt make any sense your just gonna have to come see it for yourself next time.

decisions

All in all it was a good night. The beer was flowing, the films were playing, and the press was spinning. And, on top of all that, they were able to raise over $1800 for RiverLink and Our Voice. And this guy even won a new Liquid Logic Kayak.

We're happy to report the live printing went off without a hitch. So stay tuned for more teamscum // live+direct, coming to a block party near you. . .

entonces minus one paddle

I was in the Canyon on the first entonces trip so i made a point to make it happen for the second entonces trip. We drove down to the lake house Friday night and woke to a pile of empty beer cans the next morning. We got it together and drove to the West Fork of the chattooga and did the gear explosion thing, the plan was to canoe the west fork of the chattooga sleep over night and continue down through section I and take out at Earls ford. Water levels were right around two feet and the weather was clear and cool, i didnt even wear my dry suit. Ben forgot his paddle at so i surrendered mine, which was cool i got the princess position in the front of the canoe the whole weekend. We walked big shoals, drank way too many beers, and pi toned the canoe twice, a good weekend for sure!
